Christmas Carol Service at Royal Dockyard Church

The Royal Dockyard Church

Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust holds its annual Christmas Carol Service on Tuesday 12th December in the Royal Dockyard Church.

Light festive refreshments will be served from 6.30pm, this year in the elegant Commissioner’s House (courtesy of Historic Dockyard Catering, Admiral’s offices). Commissioner’s House is not normally open to the public and is fast becoming one of Medway’s premier wedding and social venues so Carol Service attendees will be able to get a glimpse inside this building dating back to 1704.

The service will commence at 7.30pm and will feature Rochester Cathedral Boy’s & Men’s Choir and an ensemble from the Band of the Corps of Royal Engineers. The Dean of Rochester, The Very Reverend Adrian Newman will lead for the second year running bringing with him his enthusiastic and personal approach to the traditional Christmas message.

A minimum donation of £4.00 for adults is suggested and under 16’s are welcome free. Tickets must be pre-booked by Friday 8th December by calling 01634 823815 - all surplus goes to the Royal Dockyard Church Organ Restoration Fund.
