As The Historic Dockyard covers over 80 acres there are a number of locations ideally suited for outdoor events or the erection of marquees to meet your event requirements.

Lawned areas, historic gardens and hard standing spaces are available. Space and marquees can be used for stand alone events or combined with other hospitality opportunities afforded by the galleries and attractions to make full use of the unique atmosphere of The Historic Dockyard.

The site, in its entirety or part, can be hired for Family or Clients Days|.
We can offer inclusive packages using leading contractors to provide all marquees and event requirements in a bespoke installation to ensure your event is a success.



Tennis Court & Croquet Lawn

Museum Square

Museum Square A large and versatile space, at the centre of the site, in front of the picturesque Covered Slips and Mast Houses. Peashingle hardstanding.





Anchor Wharf

Anchor Wharf Almost a quarter of a mile long. Anchor Wharf is alongside and overlooks the River Medway and is adjacent to the Museum of the Royal Dockyard.





Helipad

Set between the Admiral's Offices and the river, this hard standing area has grassed edges and easy vehicle access.





Victorian Dockside

Located between the Victorian sloop HMS Gannet (1878) and the Submarine Ocelot this dockside area offers a versatile area of some 1,500 square meters. This area can be floodlit at night.




Commissioner’s House Garden

Commissioner’s House Garden A beautiful, walled and terraced garden overlooked by Commissioner's House. It has a large central lawn surrounded by trees and flowerbeds.
